Dutch drama, based on true events at the end of World War 2
In the spring of 1945 a deportation train with hundreds of Jewish prisoners is stranded near a small German village which is occupied by the Red Army. The Russian sniper Vera, villager Winnie and the Dutch-Jewish Simone end up in the same house together and slowly a friendship develops between these women, despite desperation, distrust and thirst for revenge.
