A FUNNY AND MELANCHOLY MAN IN SEARCH OF HIS PAST.

Orlando (Papaleo) is a piano tuner. Music is everything to him, and his life runs smoothly, but he is unhappy. He has lost his passion for work, enthusiasm, and zest for life; he is apathetic, always grumpy, and unfriendly toward everything and everyone. In addition, he is plagued by terrible back pain. So he meets Olga (the famous Italian singer Giorgia), an exceptional physiotherapist who works on both body and mind.

Olga immediately senses that Orlando’s problems are buried in his past and asks for a photo of him as a young man. To retrieve it, Orlando must travel to his hometown in Basilicata, and he will inevitably come to terms with his guilty feelings and a past he had laboriously repressed.

Making his fourth film as a director, Papaleo crafts a tender and intimate self-portrait that explores the discontents of a 60-year-old man in crisis, forced by events to take stock of his life. Giorgia was nominated for best actress at the Nastri d’Argento 2023 for this film.
