Lissy, Tom and Ellen are all Lunies family members. Considering the very different lives they lead, that surname seems to be the only thing they share. Conductor Tom attempts to finish a peace of music while his sister Ellen struggles with her inner demons. Their mother Lissy is relieved when her husband is finally placed in a care facility. Her period of happiness is cut short when her own health starts to falter. Death seems to be be one thing that will finally connect the family members.
